Specimen Type: Fluid: Bronchoalveolar lavage or tracheal aspirates

Collection Container/Tube:

Preferred/Acceptable: Sterile, leak-proof, plastic screw-cap collection container

Specimen Collection Volume: 5.0 (minimum 1.0 mL) 

Submission Container/Tube: Should not be sent from outside facility

Special Instructions: Forward specimen to lab promptly at ambient temperature.

SPECIMEN SOURCE IS REQUIRED ON ORDER FOR PROCESSING
