Supplies: Sarstedt Aliquot Tube, 5 mL (T914)
Collection Container/Tube: Red top (serum gel/SST are not acceptable)
Submission Container/Tube: Plastic vial
Specimen Volume: 1.5 mL
Collection Instructions: Centrifuge and aliquot serum into a plastic vial.
Additional Information: Only a specimen collected before a transfusion reaction is acceptable.
ATTENTION: Whole blood collection volume to be sent to lab in a plain red-top tube is 3.0 mL (minimum 0.3 mL)
NOTE: Order will be cancelled by lab and re-ordered as a Miscellaneous Lab Test until the new Mayo test can be updated in SLCH LIS system.

This test is not useful for the diagnosis of neutropenia due to marrow suppression by drugs or tumors.
