Test is no longer available. Chlamydia culture (LAB244) will no longer be available to order in Epic after July 2023. Chlamydia infection is best diagnosed by sensitive molecular testing on urine, vaginal, throat, and rectal samples. In neonates, molecular testing on ocular specimens is now the preferred method for diagnosing this condition. Molecular testing for chlamydia is available to order in Epic as “N. gonorrhoeae/C. trachomatis amplification” (LAB4887) on these specimen types
